We were able to see all the memorials around the mall and the Holocaust Museum (a must see). It took us four hours to experience this but we learned so much. There are four floors of history, videos from the era, memorabilia from everywhere including the ghetto's and concentration camps starting with the rise of the Nazi Party to the end of the war and liberation of Jews. It's all so fascinating but sad. At times it makes you ANGRY but then you read a good story of courage, strength and survival. When in DC Check it out!
PS...in the gift shop we met a holocaust survivor, Mr. Fred Spiegel, and we bought his book which he autographed and we are excited to read.
